Traveling became a widespread activity in the western society. Fast transportation is able to bring us to a new place in a a fraction of the time as if we would do it on our own. Many destinies became known as attractive and turistic places, with easy standartized means to reach it, obscuring one of the greatest essences of traveling: The journey itself!
Just like life, with only one final and certain destiny, what we really enjoy and live is the challenging journey in itself. The goal or destiny, is nothing but a motivation to keep on going in the chosen direction, bringing the feelings of excitment and motivation to cease each moment the most.
Therefore, the thrill of discovering a new place is not only on the place itself, but on the whole path we take to find it, which brings us all the unexpected adventures we are looking for. This weekend, I hope to experience the joy of a journey, by focusing on a trip from the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, till the Atomium in Brussels on inline skates.
